About our school
The school’s founder, Mr. Orlando Primo, recognizes the fundamental importance of drums in contemporary music. We pride ourselves in being the first music school in Guyana to specialize in drum education. We only offer drum lessons. After all, we are a drum school!

Goal of our School
The program was implemented to revitalize the African culture which has been lost. The student will be educated on different aspects surrounding the African culture. This school primarily will be focusing on the drumming aspect which will involve the history of drums, the different types of drums, the making of drums and the different types of rhythms. The student will be able to articulate techniques in drumming, singing and dancing.

Our Mission at MFDS is to educate, inspire the youths about there culture in the form of drumming, singing and dancing. This will enable our students to become knowledgeable and allow them the opportunity to embrace African culture.
