Majek Fingers School of Drumming brings drumming skills and Afro-Caribbean culture and history to diverse audiences.

Founded (2010) by master drummer Orlando Primo, a New Orleans based drummer originally from Georgetown, Guyana, Majek Fingers holds workshops at various festivals, art markets and community events and teaches in several schools.

Recent clients include: ReNEW schools, Ecole Bilingue, Loyola University, New Orleans Arts Council’s Art Market and Luna Fete, Music Box Village, Congo Square, Afro Punk festival, more.

Orlando lives in Mid City with his wife and two children (soon to be three!). He enjoys coaching youth soccer.
