The Majekfingers Drumming School International Drum Festival, set to take place at Umana Yanna on August 9, 2025, is a dynamic celebration of Guyana’s rich cultural heritage. Showcasing 10 drumming groups and 5 dance ensembles, the festival will immerse attendees in the rhythms and movements that reflect the nation’s diverse traditions.

This vibrant event offers a fully interactive experience, featuring drumming and dance workshops, children’s face painting, vendors presenting local and global arts and crafts, and the live creation of a community mural.

With an anticipated audience of 500 to 1,000 attendees, this donation-based festival celebrates the storytelling, drumming, dancing, and performance art traditions that embody the heart and soul of Guyana’s cultural legacy.
